The Physics liquid nitrogen storage tank project is designed to improve the security and safety surrounding the bulk storage facilities for liquid nitrogen and helium gas/liquid on campus.

The LN2 storage tank was relocated to its temporary location and plumbed for reticulation in early September 2016. The construction of a protective shelter and storage facility for the LN2 tank, and the relocation of the helium storage out of the Physics building was completed in June 2017.
